How to get ideas flowing for a kids’ menu

Inspiration for Carmelo's menu ideaI started with looking through a neato book about poster lay-outs from the deco period.  My mom sent the book to me on a whim and it really helped with getting me unstuck from a creative rut.  I love old stuff and it motivated me to redesign some existing drawings and format them into a montage.  It went a step further with some whimsy when I made the canonball under the lion’s paw into a meatball and twisted the map lay-out into spaghetti noodles.  Find it at Carmelo’s Pizza downtown Saint Augustine at the Shell gas station on King Street.  Best pizza in town!
