Doeya…at the beach…

Sometimes there is an empathic flow that feeds a painting.  That happened right after Melissa gave me a crisp photo of her German Shephard, Doeya.  I intentionally kept the brush strokes loose and visible.  I really enjoyed doing this painting.  Maybe it was the easy energy between Melissa and Doeya which made it come together.  Melissa embraced her Cherokee heritage when she named this member of her family.  It is the Cherokee word for bean.  Cute!
