“Creative People like
to be challenged. We’re often surprised by an approach we didn’t expect.” Jean-Baptiste Souletier. Bonne Chance. A great quote from a French furniture designer who was featured in Dwell mag.
And to follow this sentence is an artistic metaphor for what to do when you are standing at a wall…uhm…Duh…make art. To get what I’m saying and to see a challenge mastered in vertical format by “scratching the surface” check out this video by Portuguese Artist Alexandre Farto, aka Vihls: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8_EaqvXJDo
Last night was my solo show at Tim’s Wine Market and words are not enough to express my gratitude for the love and support I felt. Thank you Rachel Bennett for purchasing one of my Plein Air paintings and then taking it one step further by offering to promote the intentions of The Anonymous Society of Artists at the next County Commission Meeting. District 5 representation totally supports the arts. Thank you Scott for purchasing one of my uni-frames. There is no higher praise than another artist purchasing your own artwork. A big hug to the Parkey Family for sharing their family vibe. And to Dana and Chablis, for nosing around as the gentle giants to support the arts (Harlequin Great Danes…Dames) Well…say no more. A picture is worth a thousand words. So here goes.
