Illustration series for Kobi, Memoirs of a Mustang, a book written by Heather Hamel. Base sketch with graphite then overlay of PITT black M and Sharpie. This depicts the story of a wild mustang round-up and the BLM brand each horse on the neck with the first symbol being US and additional symbols depicting the area captured and year. The hair grows out white from the brand mark.
These illustrations will be on each page starting a new chapter. Although there are 15 chapters in the book, I plan to only do 7 images. We’ll see how it goes from there.
